I’m thinking about applying to the Disney College Program.
One problem is just logistics. I’m not sure if/how I’d be able to graduate without taking an extra semester (which I do not want to do/probably can’t do because money). My two options are distance and summer classes — probably a combination of these.
If SLU and Disney are able to work with me on this, that’s great, because this is almost the last time I’d be able to apply to this program. And from what I’ve read and experienced (getting rejected from PIs) it’s pretty much a good foot in the door to a professional internship and the Disney company in general.
The other problem is I’m not sure how much Disney would work with me when it comes to my medical (psychiatric) conditions. They’d need to if I’m going to be successful in the program — there are plenty of things that may trigger problems such as homesickness, roommates, etc. However, it has the potential to be a good experience if I can take care of myself.
